Winthrop X-Caliber Roller Guides are the latest guide design from Winthrop Tackle, featuring a one-piece frame construction that is designed to stretch and flex with the action of the rod without sacrificing any strength in the guide frame. All Winthrop roller guide components are manufactured in the USA with precision CNC machine tools under rigorous quality controls. The X-Caliber Series frames are machined from solid aircraft-grade aluminum bar stock.

All rollers and spindles use a highly corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel and incorporate a high-tech, wear-resistant bushing that is impervious to water. They can withstand high temperatures (up to 500 degrees F) and still maintain a very low coefficient of friction.

The X-Caliber Series rollers have been tested on Deep Drop Fishing Rods (many miles of turning) with no failures or indications of wear.
